The interns at Hall Memorial are excited to meet and work with the teachers within the school. We encourage you to ask us to help you in your classroom or to just say' hi'. When we aren't working in classrooms, we can usually be found in the office in the back of the library.

Erica Thiry is an Elementary Education major in the NEAG School of Education at UCONN. Originally from New Jersey, Erica aspires to teach upper Elementary school in New York City. She is interested in mathematics and enrichment. Her internship at Willington Hall Memorial Middle School consists of creating a Mathematical Enrichment Program for 6th and 7th graders. David's internship consists of working with teachers and students, mostly in grade 5 to implement inquiry based science activities. These activities assist students with their science inquiry, literacy and numeracy while also improving their inquiry skills and science content knowledge.
He enjoys being outdoors and doing work or being in the woods. He especially likes it when the weather is challenging, like rain, snow, and everything else. His favorite thing to do outside is gardening and landscaping. It gives him a sense of freedom where I can design what and how things happen. He is fascinated by the growing process and with the creation of flowering masses of color. He also likes to skim board, sled, and ice skate.

Jeff is originally from Syracuse, NY and is currently studying for his Master’s degree in education. He has a B.S in secondary mathematics education. He previously observed teachings at East Hartford Middle School, Southeast Elementary, and Mansfield Middle School. He completed his student teaching and became a long term substitute at Glastonbury High School where he taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, AP Calculus, and Foundations of Mathematics. He is currently working with Erica Thiry, Mike Cioe, and Lisa Goodwin in 6th and 7th grade developing math enrichment for students.

Dan is currently working on his Master's degree in education. Last year he recived a B.S. in Mathematics education. During his student teaching at Windham High School, Dan worked with Mr. Maclure and taught Algebra and Geometry classes.
At Hall Memorial, Dan is working under Mrs. Sullivan, with Dominique Battle, as one of the technology interns. As the technology intern, Dan would be happy to assist any teachers having problems with PowerSchool or other school problems. Dan is also excited to work with teachers that wish to use technology to enrich their lessons. Please feel free to contact him if you need any help working with technology in your classroom.

Dominique Battle is an Elementary Education Masters Student originally from Silver Spring, Maryland. She recently received her Bachelors of Science in May of 2007. She student taught in Glastonbury at Hebron Avenue Elementary School. Currently she is working as a Technology Intern at Hall Memorial School in Willington, Connecticut along side her colleague Daniel Battipaglia. Her long term goal is to continue her education and peruse a PHD to teach higher education as a college professor |
